Interviev with Vishan
Hello Vishan, how are you today, and what have you been up to lately, both musically and personally?
I’m doing great. Lately I’ve been focusing on music, working on new tracks, improving my sound, and spending time refining my mixes.
Can you take us back to the beginning, when did you first start making music, and what sparked your interest in electronic music?
I started through decks. Playing music made me curious about how tracks create emotion, and that pushed me to start making my own tracks.
You made your production debut just about a year ago on the Future Avenue Summer Sampler 2025. What did that moment mean to you, and how did it feel to officially release your first track?
It made all the hard work feel worth it, and I want to thank each and every person who helped me, who guided me to achieve that.
Looking back at this past year, how has your journey evolved since that debut? What have been the biggest lessons or breakthroughs for you?
It’s been a year of learning fast and trusting my instincts more. I’ve gone from experimenting to being more intentional with my sound, and every release feels more “me” than the last.
You are originally from Sri Lanka and now based in Dubai. How have these different environments influenced your sound and artistic vision?
Growing up in Sri Lanka shaped how I feel music on a deeper level, while Dubai pushed me into a more energetic, international scene. Blending those two influences just feels natural to me.
Your latest release “Happy Ending” on One Of Those Days feels like an important step forward. What was the idea or emotion behind this track?
I started playing around with some melodic ideas and slowly built it into a journey, adding layers and shaping the energy as it goes. That balance between tension and release really became the heart of the track, something you can feel but also move to.
