About Me.
Bedouin is a well-known electronic music producer from Brooklyn, New York, and is most recognized for their hypnotic deep house music. Bedouin has established himself as a leading player in the electronic music field over the course of a more than ten-year career. They create an immersive musical experience that leaves the listener wanting more with their distinctive fusion of tribal and oriental sounds with contemporary electronic beats. Bedouin music transports the listener on a mystical journey rather than just being a collection of sounds. Their creativity and adaptability are demonstrated by their ability to blend organic and computerized sounds. Their songs are the ideal illustration of how music can cross barriers and unite people. Bedouin distinguishes apart with their soulful and introspective attitude in a world where electronic music is frequently linked with massive drops and bass-heavy sounds. Their music aims to evoke an emotional response in the listener, not only get them to dance. Every note the Bedouin play demonstrates their commitment to their art, and their enthusiasm for music is contagious. Bedouin's followers eagerly anticipate their next musical adventure as they push the limits of electronic music with each new release.

Interview: Bedouin Talk Pacha Ibiza Residency, Miami Life & The Future Of ‘Human By Default’
Between their label, Human By Default, their growing catalogue of productions (including a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Set Control For The Heart Of The Sun”), and their ongoing Saga residency at Pacha Ibiza, Bedouin—aka Tamer Malki and Rami Abousabe—and their reputation for eclectic yet cohesive clubbing experiences is peerless. This season, Saga returned for its third annual takeover of Pacha Ibiza; originally starting life at Guy Laliberté’s Heart in 2017, they moved across the White Isle in 2022 to the renowned Ibiza institution they currently call home. Since then, it has grown in both scope and scale, each year getting closer and closer to its fully realised form. Inspired by artistic giants like sculptor and painter Louise Bourgeois and surrealist/Dadaist maverick Salvador Dalí, this year’s edition broadens their scope further than previous seasons. Far-out house and techno from DJ Koze shares the bill with heavy-duty floor-fillers from Patrick Mason and the introspective electronics of James Blake, all bound together under the Bedouin banner. As they gear up for closing season, we caught up with Rami and Tamer to talk about their Middle Eastern heritage, blending that with their Western tastes, and the future of both their label and their popular residency at Pacha Ibiza. “We’re now focusing on making music for the dancefloor.”
Bedouin Discuss the Role of Emotional Arc in Modern DJ Sets And The Launch of Human By Default
Bedouin are celebrating five years of their label Human By Default with one of their most striking collaborations yet. “Heavy On My Mind,” created with London-based producer Robin M and featuring the unmistakable voice of SKYE from Morcheeba, captures the deep, percussive energy and slow-build tension that have defined their sound. Out now, the track has already been a fixture in their sets since February, from Club Space in Miami to stages across Europe, earning early support from Pete Tong, Adam Port, and a roster of tastemakers who understand its ability to connect both on and off the dancefloor. The single marks a milestone for the label as it moves into a new era of events and live experiences and sets a strong pace for the Baron & Dorian Craft Remix of their track ‘Better Than This’ which dropped late July, 2025 (shared below in the interview). Bedouin have spent over a decade crafting a globally resonant sound, blending Middle Eastern heritage with Western influences to create music that feels at home at festivals like Coachella and Burning Man, as well as in intimate after-hours settings. “Heavy On My Mind” carries that ethos forward, with Robin M’s melodic sensibility and SKYE’s distinctive delivery adding new dimensions to their vision. In this conversation, Bedouin reflect on the lessons learned since Human By Default’s launch, the organic way this collaboration came together, and the approaches they take when building sets that connect with audiences in real time. They speak about the value of patience, the role of emotional curation in a trend-driven world, and the rare qualities that make a track endure beyond the moment. It is a look into both the craft behind their latest release and the philosophy that has guided their journey so far.
